Born Virginia Louise Roberts in Sacramento, California, she grew up in difficult circumstances. Her early life was marked by instability and neglect, experiences that left her vulnerable to exploitation. When she was just 16, while working at the spa of Mar-a-Lago, she met Ghislaine Maxwell, a meeting that would change her life in ways she could not have imagined. Maxwell introduced her to financier Jeffrey Epstein, and what followed was a years-long nightmare of grooming, abuse, and trafficking.

For years, Giuffre remained one of the invisible, a young girl caught in a web spun by the powerful.
